WHY WE STARTED AVENTUS
We grew up in the Australian school system. We know what it’s like to work hard and still struggle with a concept, and we know how much the right explanation can help.
After years of teaching, we wanted to build a place where students could ask questions without feeling rushed or embarrassed. Somewhere we could get to know how they learn and give them the attention they need.
That’s why Aventus classes have no more than six students and run for 90 minutes. It gives us time to explain, practise and check their work properly.
We care about results. We also care about your child feeling comfortable enough to say, “I don’t understand yet.” That’s where we can make a difference.

MEET MAHIR & SAFWAN
We both grew up in Australia and went through the school system here. We know the pressure students face, and years of tutoring have taught us what helps them learn. That experience is why we started Aventus.
I’m in my final year of civil engineering, with five years of tutoring experience across private tuition and commercial tutoring companies.
I’ve also been a university student ambassador, held club presidencies and founded a club, alongside other student leadership roles.
To help each student build the understanding and confidence to tackle challenging work independently, with guidance that fits how they learn.
I’m studying medicine through a direct-entry pathway and have several years of tutoring experience.
I’ve earned multiple High Distinctions in AMC, RACI, ICAS and AIMO. At Aventus, I bring that academic experience into teaching, mentoring students and helping them build strong study habits.
To give students consistent support and practical ways to study, so they can become more independent learners and work towards the goals that matter to them.
OUR BACKGROUND
Between us, we bring experience in private tutoring, commercial tuition and university leadership. We’ve worked with students across different year levels, learning needs and goals.
Having gone through school in Australia ourselves, we understand the pressure of assessments and the work it takes to improve. We use that experience to help students understand difficult topics, prepare for tests and develop study habits they can keep using on their own.
Our tutors also receive guidance on building rapport and adapting their teaching. We want every student to feel comfortable asking questions and to leave class with a clearer understanding of the work.
