A respectful classroom
Students deserve a safe place to ask questions and make mistakes. We expect students and tutors to treat each other respectfully. Bullying, harassment, discrimination and inappropriate contact are not acceptable. We work with parents to address concerns and make reasonable adjustments where practical.
Where behaviour creates an immediate safety risk, we may pause participation and contact the parent. Longer-term changes are discussed fairly, with any unused fees handled under the enrolment terms and consumer law.
Arrival, collection and emergencies
We confirm the class room, time and arrival arrangements before the first lesson. Parents remain responsible for travel and collection outside the agreed supervised lesson period. Tell us in advance about collection changes, accessibility needs, allergies or safety information.
If a student becomes unwell, we contact their parent or nominated emergency contact. In an urgent emergency, we seek emergency assistance. Please keep contact details current. Snacks are optional; we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Tutor standards and communication
Tutors are expected to explain clearly, check understanding and adapt support to the student. Our tutor induction covers appropriate boundaries, parent communication, classroom expectations and responding to concerns.
Communication with students must use agreed tutoring channels and relate to their learning. Parents should know how to contact the tutor or founders and how support arrangements work. Personal or inappropriate messages are not permitted.
Raising a safety concern

Tell either founder promptly about a concern, including behaviour by a tutor. Contact the other founder if the concern involves one of us. We listen, record the concern, consider immediate protective steps and seek appropriate external assistance or make reports where required by law. Immediate danger should be reported to emergency services on 000.
Families may raise concerns without fear of retaliation. We do not promise secrecy where sharing information is needed to protect a child or meet a legal obligation.
